Fed's Kaplan: For now, Fed's rate-setting is about where it should be
Dallas Fed President Kaplan crossed the wires in the last minutes, arguing that the Fed's rate-setting is about where it should be in the current environment. Commenting on the U.S.-China trade dispute, "tariffs put sand in the gears for U.S. companies," Kaplan said and added that he was hopeful that they would work something out while expecting tensions to remain elevated for some time.
