Watching out for Fed speakers, especially Yellen - UOB

Analysts at UOB Group explained that there will again be many senior Fed Reserve officials speaking in public forums this week and the key person is certainly FOMC Chair Janet Yellen who will speak at the Boston Fed conference on Friday (14 Oct).

"There will not be any monetary policy decision from G7 central banks so the focus will be on the Fed speakers and the 20/21 Sep FOMC minutes due on 12 Oct. The US economic calendar is rather light this week except for the Sep advance retail sales & University of Michigan consumer confidence sentiment (both on 14 Oct) so the focus in the US will be on the US corporate earnings reporting season and of keen interest will be on Wells Fargo reporting on 14 Oct."
